About the role#
Medtronic is seeking Engineering Interns for a full-time, 10-11 week program during Summer 2027. This position is part of an intern cohort and requires working on-site at least 4 days per week. Interns will engage in educational and social programming throughout the summer. This specific opening is intended for candidates attending the 2026 National SWE Convention.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to engineering projects within R&D, manufacturing, or operations.
- Analyze operational, manufacturing, quality, or engineering data.
- Create technical documentation, engineering reports, and project summaries.
- Collaborate with peers and coworkers to develop medical technologies.
- Participate in the Medtronic intern cohort program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- An anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027, Spring 2028, Winter 2028, or Spring 2029.
- Current authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Preferred experience in manufacturing, operations, or process improvement.

- This is a paid, full-time internship (40 hours per week).
- The program runs from June 1 to August 13 for semester systems, or June 14 to August 20 for quarter systems.
