About the role#
The Fab 9 location in Essex Junction, Vermont, is hiring Equipment Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on sustaining fab floor operations and resolving equipment and process issues. You will manage a specific project from start to finish and present your results at an end-of-year poster session.
What you'll do#
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to support throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
- Define and maintain equipment installation roadmaps and configurations.
- Collaborate with process engineers on equipment planning, selection, and startup.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize equipment for performance, yield, and reliability targets.
- Lead hands-on, tactical troubleshooting to resolve long-term equipment performance issues.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner while supporting site health and safety programs.
What you'll need#
- Junior status at the time of application, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Mechanical inclination with the ability to deconstruct and understand complex systems.
- Ability to lead hands-on troubleshooting efforts.
