About the role#
The Walsh Group offers an internship program for students pursuing degrees in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, as well as Business Administration and Operations Management. This program provides hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. You will work on jobsites or in regional offices to gain exposure to preconstruction and estimating tasks. The goal is to prepare interns for leadership roles and potential full-time employment after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers and field supervision staff with daily project coordination.
- Estimate costs for change orders.
- Solicit bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity.
- Manage the scheduling of contracts and materials.
- Handle document control, including writing RFIs and submittals.
- Participate in team meetings and support safety management efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week work schedule.
- Willingness to relocate if required by specific project assignments.
