About the role#
The Walsh Group offers an internship program for students in the Tennessee region. This program provides hands-on experience in project engineering and field management to prepare interns for future leadership positions. You will work on jobsites or in the office to support estimating and preconstruction departments. We match you with roles that align with your academic and career goals.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers or field supervision staff with project coordination.
- Estimate costs for change orders.
- Solicit bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity.
- Write RFIs and submittals.
- Manage safety protocols.
- Handle document control and schedule contracts and materials.
- Participate in team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week work schedule.
- Willingness to relocate if required by specific roles.
