About the role#
The Walsh Group offers an internship program for students interested in construction careers. This program provides hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. You will work on jobsites or in office settings to support estimating and preconstruction departments. The program aims to prepare interns for future leadership roles and potential full-time employment after graduation. Please note that specific roles may require relocation.
What you'll do#
- Support project managers or field supervision staff with daily project coordination.
- Manage document control and write RFIs and submittals.
- Estimate costs for change orders.
- Coordinate subcontractors and solicit bidders.
- Assist with the scheduling of contracts and materials.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Manage safety protocols on site.
What you'll need#
- Preference is given to students currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week work schedule is preferred.

- Locations: Virginia Beach, Ashburn, and Chesapeake, Virginia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
