About the role#
GlobalFoundries is seeking Process & Equipment Engineering interns for our 300mm factory in Malta, New York. This summer 2027 internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on projects that impact our manufacturing operations. You will participate in a program designed to provide meaningful work experience, mentorship, and exposure to the semiconductor industry.
What you'll do#
- Reduce variability in process recovery procedures.
- Increase our ability to detect problems earlier.
- Standardize processes across similar equipment.
- Enhance techniques for measuring process performance.
- Collaborate with equipment and maintenance teams, including engineers, technicians, and production staff.
- Lead improvement projects and present your findings.
- Support all environmental, health, safety, and security requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a Bachelor’s program for Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred.
