About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work alongside GDIT professionals to deliver client projects and collaborate with a peer team to address business challenges. The program includes professional development, interaction with company leadership, and participation in a mentoring circle led by an early career champion.
What you'll do#
- Develop agentic solutions designed to answer business questions and execute approved actions.
- Create standalone proxy services for front-end management of LLM implementation.
- Build managed services that incorporate detection, monitoring, security, and FinOps features.
- Adhere to consistent governance and management standards across all implementations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or master degree program in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related STEM field at a United States-based university.
- At least one semester of study remaining after the internship concludes.
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning, Python, SQL, or other programming languages.
- Familiarity with libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Understanding of core Data Science concepts, including data cleaning, exploratory analysis, and statistical methods.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams.
- Experience working within a collaborative team environment.
