About the role#
The Cybersecurity Associate Internship is a 10-week summer program designed to help you gain experience on complex projects. You will work alongside professionals to support client missions, participate in professional development, and engage with company leaders. You will also join a peer team to research and propose solutions to a business challenge, supported by a mentoring circle.
What you'll do#
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems for the company or client organizations.
- Work with analysts to understand business processes and promote data integrity.
- Develop consulting skills by gathering and researching data, performing analysis, and contributing to project deliverables.
- Collaborate with peers to solve business challenges.
- Participate in professional development and mentoring sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or master degree program in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related STEM field at a United States-based college or university.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills and intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to solve problems related to changing technology and articulate technical solutions.
- Basic understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
- Preferred: Knowledge of engineering principles, information systems, hardware and software, data manipulation of Indicators of Compromise, SIEM, vulnerability management, or information assurance.
- Preferred: Pursuing a cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Certified Ethical Hacker.
