About the role#
General Dynamics Information Technology is hiring a Knowledge Management Specialist Associate for a summer internship in Bossier City, Louisiana. You will support the OneGDIT Enterprise Service Desk Program by managing and improving knowledge management programs. This role involves working alongside experienced professionals to refine your technical writing skills and contribute to process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Review the effectiveness of the knowledge management system and existing articles.
- Update and improve the knowledge base to make content easier to find and to improve customer satisfaction.
- Create job aids and standard operating procedures for incident and problem resolution.
- Identify recurring incidents to prioritize the creation of new documentation.
- Perform operational duties to support compliance with regulatory, security, and industry practices.
- Coordinate the approval and processing of document revisions for the call center.
- Track document activity to ensure processes remain efficient.
- Conduct research and analysis to maintain existing documents and create new content.
- Provide support to document owners and key stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least one semester of school remaining.
- Skills in information organization, Microsoft Office, and technical writing.
