About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program based in Bossier City, Louisiana. You will work alongside GDIT professionals to deliver solutions for clients and participate in a mentoring circle led by an early career champion. You will also collaborate with a team of peers to research and propose solutions to a current business challenge, interact with company leaders, and participate in professional development.
What you'll do#
- Develop agentic solutions capable of answering business questions and performing approved actions.
- Create standalone proxy services for full, front-end management of LLM implementations.
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and microservices.
- Perform AI/ML model performance measurement, validation testing, and error or bias troubleshooting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or master degree program in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related STEM field at a United States university.
- At least one semester of studies remaining after the internship concludes.
- Understanding of core Data Science concepts such as data cleaning, exploratory analysis, simple statistical methods, and machine learning principles.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other programming languages.
- Familiarity with libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions clearly.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams.
