Student Nurse Clinical Placement

About the role#

The Student Nurse Clinical Placement provides an opportunity to function as part of the hemodialysis health care team. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, students assist in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. This position supports the mission and values of Fresenius Medical Care.

What you'll do#

• Assist in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients.
• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines.
• Participate in process improvement activities and quality enhancement programs.
• Help maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform clinical duties based on the duration of the placement and training received.

What you'll need#

• Completion of three quarters of an ADN program, the junior year of a BSN program, or two years of a nursing school program.
• Exposure to patient care.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Clinical Manager and Preceptor.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
