About the role#
This clinical placement offers an opportunity to work as part of a dialysis health care team. You will support the mission and service philosophy of Fresenius Medical Care while gaining hands-on experience under the direct supervision of a registered dietitian. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct nutrition interviews with patients.
- Assist in the development and implementation of nutrition plans.
- Calculate diet prescription recommendations and provide counseling to patients or caregivers.
- Collect data for comprehensive interdisciplinary assessments.
- Practice writing monthly nutrition progress notes.
- Create nutrition-related projects for patients or staff, such as educational handouts, bulletin boards, or lobby activities.
- Attend interdisciplinary team and quality improvement meetings.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, or current enrollment in an accredited Coordinated Program in Dietetics.
- A strong desire to deliver superior care to patients.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Familiarity with medical nutrition therapy.
- Ability to travel between assigned facilities and community locations as needed.
