About the role#
Flex is seeking a Quality Engineering Co-Op for the Fall 2026 semester at the Orangeburg, South Carolina site. This role reports to the Quality Engineering Manager and supports the team on projects related to yields, performance, quality systems, supplier management, auditing, manufacturing, and new product introduction.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and maintain quality standards across production, operations, and service processes.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and tests on materials, components, and finished products.
- Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to identify trends, defects, and improvement opportunities.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
- Update and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and audit reports.
- Provide general support to the Quality team on daily tasks and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year accredited university as a rising junior or senior.
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week on-site for the duration of the Fall semester.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Coursework in risk analysis and statistics is helpful.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
