About the role#
The Quality Engineering Co-Op position at our Orangeburg, South Carolina site supports the Quality Engineering team with projects impacting yields, performance, and quality systems. This role involves working across manufacturing, supplier management, and new product introduction (NPI) processes.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and maintain quality standards across production and operations.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and tests on materials and finished products.
- Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective or preventive action (CAPA) activities.
- Update and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and audit reports.
- Provide general support to the quality team for daily tasks and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year accredited university as a rising Junior or Senior.
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week on-site for the Fall 2026 semester.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Coursework in risk analysis and statistics is helpful.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
