About the role#
We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our team in Hollis, New Hampshire. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term. You will report to the Engineering Manager and gain experience in concept generation, design for manufacturing, prototyping, and technical documentation. This role focuses on real-world product development, requiring you to work on-site for 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Work on a variety of medical products, including home health wearables, therapy systems, and surgical robotics.
- Collaborate with industrial design, user interface, human factors, software, and mechanical teams.
- Conceptualize, investigate, and develop innovative product architectures.
- Create and support design solutions using CAD, analysis software, and lab equipment.
- Procure, assemble, and test breadboards and prototypes to refine designs.
- Communicate design value, tradeoffs, and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year accredited university studying Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A fundamental understanding of electronics and physics.
- Hands-on experience in electromechanical assemblies, such as wiring, soldering, and troubleshooting.
- The ability to read and understand a schematic.
- Experience with signal measurement tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Skills in circuit modification, basic circuit design, and hardware design.
- Familiarity with LabVIEW or Arduino as rapid development tools is preferred.
