About the role#
The Project Engineer Co-op role provides hands-on experience across all phases of construction, from preconstruction through project closeout. Based in Tempe, Arizona, this role allows students to work alongside experienced professionals to build foundational technical, administrative, and leadership skills. This is a paid, full-time position available for the Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, document control, and project communication.
- Participate in team meetings, take meeting minutes, and assist with short-term planning.
- Gain exposure to quantity takeoffs, bid package preparation, and basic estimating activities.
- Work with Superintendents to assist with material coordination and quality assurance.
- Utilize tools such as Bluebeam and Procore to support document updates and track project information.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with technology and strong computer skills.
- Genuine interest in building a career in the construction industry.
