About the role#
The Project Engineer Co-op position offers hands-on experience across all phases of construction, from preconstruction through project closeout. This role is designed for students interested in the construction industry, providing exposure to project management, field operations, preconstruction, and MEP teams. You will work alongside experienced professionals to build technical, administrative, and leadership skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, document control, and project communication.
- Participate in team meetings, take meeting minutes, and assist with short-term planning.
- Gain exposure to quantity takeoffs, bid package preparation, and subcontractor outreach.
- Work with Superintendents to assist with material coordination, safety walks, and quality assurance.
- Utilize tools such as Bluebeam and Procore for document updates and tracking.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Comfort using technology and strong computer skills.
- Genuine interest in building a career in the construction industry.
