About the role#
Findorff is hiring a Preconstruction Co-op to work in Madison, Wisconsin. This role supports the planning and estimating efforts that occur before construction begins. You will work directly with estimators, project managers, and design partners to gain hands-on experience in project strategy and construction planning.
What you'll do#
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, pricing exercises, subcontractor solicitation, and bid package preparation.
- Attend pre-bid conferences and support bid day activities, including the evaluation of bid results.
- Help develop preliminary project schedules and compile project information.
- Support scope development efforts.
- Attend meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Use estimating and bidding software to learn about budgeting and construction planning.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort using technology and strong computer skills.
