About the role#
The Cyber Crime Command Center (C4) team at Fifth Third Bank is looking for a co-op to join us for the summer of 2027. You will work directly with our team to track and stop criminal actors targeting our customers. Your daily work involves reviewing attacks like phishing, social engineering, and account takeovers to identify specific threat campaigns and attackers. You will then help our team disrupt these threats and their underlying infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Complete assignments and projects as determined by leadership.
- Manage and report on project status using project management skills.
- Build a network of contacts within your assigned division and across the organization.
- Communicate effectively with team members through verbal and written updates.
- Complete assigned coursework and engage in self-learning.
- Follow all established safety procedures and perform other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or recent completion of an accredited degree program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Data Science, or Mathematics.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with previous internships or co-op programs is preferred.
- Ability to multitask, manage your own time, and demonstrate initiative.
