About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship at Fifth Third Bank for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within the Commercial Real Estate division, gaining exposure to the broader organization through day-to-day activities and project work. Interns operate as team members on large initiatives and handle smaller projects independently. You are expected to follow all bank policies and manage risk as part of your daily responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Complete assignments and projects as directed by leadership.
- Manage and report on project status using your project management skills.
- Build a network of contacts within your line of business and across the bank.
- Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.
- Finish assigned coursework and engage in self-learning activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited degree program in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or Economics.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team, manage your own time, and handle multiple tasks.

- This position is located on-site in Newport Beach, California, and Chicago, Illinois.
