About the role#
The Cybersecurity Analyst internship is a 10-week summer program designed to help you build experience protecting information systems, customer data, and digital assets. You will work within the Enterprise Technology Services organization to support security operations, identity management, and threat detection. This role provides an opportunity to learn how security controls and development practices are implemented in a large-scale environment.
What you'll do#
- Monitor security systems and events using logs and alerts to identify potential threats.
- Triage and investigate security issues to determine root causes and mitigation strategies.
- Assist with security documentation, remediation tracking, and reporting to support compliance.
- Collaborate with software development and product teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
- Conduct research on emerging cyber threats, security technologies, and AI-enabled security risks to support team decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Finance.
- A graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A foundational understanding of cybersecurity, network security, cloud security, or technology risk concepts.
- Interest in scripting or automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
