About the role#
The Campus Undergraduate Summer Internship Program for 2027 provides a structured experience within the American Express Finance organization. Interns are assigned a project focused on solving a real business challenge. You may be placed in one of several functional areas, including Corporate Planning and Analysis, Global Commercial Services Finance, US Consumer Services Finance, Global Merchant and Network Finance, Controllership, or Global Treasury.
What you'll do#
- Provide analysis and decision support to the Finance organization.
- Gather and analyze information from various sources to identify trends and explain their impact on the business.
- Learn to articulate decisions clearly to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of business needs and operations.
- Hone your analytical and communication skills by tailoring complex messages for specific audiences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- A graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Ability to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and self-motivated approach.
- Programming skills are considered a plus.
- Employment eligibility to work in the United States without company-provided visa sponsorship.
