About the role#
The Campus Undergraduate Summer Internship Program for 2027 offers students the opportunity to work within the American Express Finance organization. Interns are assigned a project focused on solving a real business challenge. You may be placed in one of several functional areas, including Corporate Planning and Analysis, Global Commercial Services Finance, US Consumer Services Finance, Global Merchant and Network Finance, Controllership, or Global Treasury.
What you'll do#
- Provide analysis and decision support to the Finance organization.
- Gather and analyze information from various sources to identify trends and explain their impact on the business.
- Learn to articulate complex decisions clearly to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and its operational needs.
- Hone analytical and communication skills by tailoring messages for specific audiences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time bachelor’s degree program with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Academic focus in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data.
- Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a self-starting approach.
- Programming skills are considered a plus.
- Employment eligibility to work in the United States without company visa sponsorship.
