About the role#
This internship provides exposure to commercial credit operations at Fifth Third Bank. You will work on team initiatives and handle independent projects while learning about the broader organization. The role requires a focus on risk management and consistent adherence to bank policies.
What you'll do#
- Perform assignments and projects as directed by leadership.
- Manage and report on project status using your project management skills.
- Complete assigned coursework and engage in self-learning activities.
- Create presentation materials using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues across the division.
- Support the credit underwriting process, including financial statement, cash flow, and collateral analysis.
- Update financial covenants and monitor compliance.
- Run Probability of Default models with oversight.
- Assist Portfolio Managers with underwriting and credit monitoring tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong analytical skills with an interest in financial analysis and corporate finance.
- Working knowledge of financial modeling and valuation.
- Ability to draw conclusions from financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
