About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship with the Energy division of Ferrovial Webber. You will work on-site in a 12-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in safety, surveying, estimating, project supervision, and field engineering.
What you'll do#
- Learn to perform Job Hazard Analysis and Hazard Safety Observations.
- Apply required Personal Protective Equipment for all jobsite activities.
- Monitor the site to observe and prevent safety incidents.
- Conduct regular jobsite audits.
- Interpret engineering plans and set layouts.
- Survey for quantities and practice accurate surveying conversions.
- Calculate man-hours and materials required for production.
- Communicate and delegate work plans to field crews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or Construction Science/Management.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Understanding of Construction Math concepts.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Manual dexterity to handle items and work with your fingers.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in a field-based construction environment.
