About the role#
The Construction Intern provides technical and functional support for construction activities in the field. This role is based at the Alamo NEX Construction project, a large-scale infrastructure development in Texas.
What you'll do#
- Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Prepare labor schedules for project tasks.
- Order and receive materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Process change orders.
- Recommend solutions to design changes throughout the construction process.
- Manage subcontractor scope of work for various contracts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Environmental Engineering.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel.
