About the role#
The Operations and Resiliency Group oversees payments system processing for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. This group manages essential functions including Cash and Custody, the Law Enforcement Unit, and Business Continuity and Resiliency Teams. As a sophomore intern, you will join a ten-week program designed to provide real-world experience, mentorship, and exposure to the financial services sector. You will contribute to projects that support the stability of the U.S. economy and financial system.
What you'll do#
- Engage in project-based work assignments within the Operations and Resiliency Group.
- Analyze data to drive insights and inform decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with students and employees across the Bank.
- Participate in professional development activities and learning events with senior leaders.
- Contribute to work that impacts the economy and the public.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate sophomore status with an expected graduation between Winter 2028 and Spring 2029.
- Excellent academic performance.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written, verbal, and influencing communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Majors in Economics, Business Administration, or Data Science are preferred.
