About the role#
As a Banking Operations Summer Associate, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting core operational functions. You will work alongside our team to handle deposit operations, payment processing, account servicing, and quality control. This program provides exposure to banking operations while you contribute to projects that support our service and compliance standards.
What you'll do#
- Support daily banking operations including item processing and account maintenance.
- Reconcile transactions, process exceptions, and perform quality checks.
- Research and resolve internal inquiries regarding account activity.
- Review and update standard operating procedures.
- Process and verify ACH transactions, check clearing, stop payments, and returned items.
- Assist with operational reporting and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet service standards.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or a related field. Junior-level standing or higher is preferred.
- At least 1 year of involvement in clubs, volunteerism, or other extracurricular activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is a plus.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week starting in June.
- A collaborative mindset and attention to detail.

- Travel: Occasional travel within the corporate footprint, including Buffalo and Rochester, is required.
