About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco offers a 10.5-week paid internship for students interested in public service. You will join teams such as Audit, Banking Supervision, District Cash Services, or Enterprise Risk Management to support our operational goals. This role provides exposure to real-world challenges and helps build a foundation for your future career.
What you'll do#
- Work on projects to ensure business operations are sound, updated, efficient, and documented.
- Gain hands-on experience with operational challenges.
- Contribute to finding solutions and identifying new opportunities for your team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- A strong interest in public service and mission-driven work.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the program.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.
- Preferred fields of study include Accounting, Operations Management, Psychology, and Supply Chain Management, though other majors are welcome.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Benefits include a summer housing stipend, transportation stipend, and access to subsidized café services.
