About the role#
The Research Information Services group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is seeking a graduate student for a summer internship. You will work directly with the Bank Archivist to manage, describe, and preserve our historical collections. This role focuses on the lifecycle of research information, including both physical records and digital assets.
What you'll do#
- Process and arrange physical collections through appraisal and description.
- Manage born-digital and digitized collections using Preservica.
- Create finding aids to improve resource accessibility.
- Support preservation strategies for the retention of permanent and historical records.
- Assist with general artifact and digital asset management tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master’s degree program in library or information science at an ALA-accredited institution.
- Graduation date of summer 2026 or later.
- Completion of at least 15-20 credits in foundational library science coursework by the start of the internship.
- Interest in library and archives technology.
- A basic understanding of metadata.
- Strong attention to detail, personal initiative, and clear communication skills.
