About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Dallas, Texas. You will work within the Research department to support economists in their academic research and policy analysis. This role provides exposure to central banking and offers opportunities to collaborate with research assistants and other interns.
What you'll do#
- Assist economists in research groups focused on macroeconomics, international trade, energy, or banking and finance.
- Locate, obtain, and compile statistical data for various projects.
- Construct files and produce charts or other graphics.
- Summarize recent research and analysis.
- Replicate previous research on relevant topics.
- Perform statistical and econometric analysis under the guidance of economists.
- Learn and solve theoretical models of the macroeconomy, international trade, or banking.
- Contribute ideas for project improvement and share knowledge with your team.
What you'll need#
- Completed your junior year of undergraduate study.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Coursework in economics, statistics, econometrics, mathematics, or computer science.
- A copy of your current transcripts.
- Basic programming knowledge in STATA, R, Python, or Matlab.
- Proficiency in MS Office products.
- Past research experience with a professor or research organization.
- An understanding of economic variables and econometric techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Location & details#
- Location: Dallas, Texas.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work modality: On-site.
