About the role#
The Software Developer Co-op will support the development and user acceptance testing (UAT) of Omniverse extensions, connectors, and applications. This role involves working with digital twins, AI, and custom automation to contribute to the digital transformation of manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for Omniverse extensions, connectors, and applications.
- Use Azure DevOps to provide feedback on tasks, create bug reports, track progress, and communicate with the development team.
- Participate in daily sprint sessions, provide input, and address questions from developers.
- Aid in the development of Omniverse extensions using Python, C++, and .USD.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of Omniverse extensions and connectors.
- Ensure scheduled milestones are met and notify the appropriate departments if delays occur.
- Work in a team environment and participate in group meetings.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, which may include weekends or travel as required.
What you'll need#
- Successful enrolment in a post-secondary degree or diploma program, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Familiarity with Python, DCC software, CAD, or spatial computing.
- Knowledge of Universal Scene Description (.USD) and NVIDIA Omniverse is an asset.
- Familiarity with or a willingness to learn Azure DevOps for development pipelines, task management, and bug tracking.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate activities with other departments.

- Compensation: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour.
