Supply Chain Coordinator Co-op

About the role#

The Supply Chain Coordinator Co-op supports purchasing, material planning, scheduling, and supplier coordination to ensure materials are delivered on time and cost-effectively. Reporting to the Supply Chain team, this role works alongside project management, manufacturing, and engineering departments to maintain production requirements.

What you'll do#

• Facilitate the release of direct material purchases using MRP functionality.
• Collaborate with project management and manufacturing teams to meet production requirements while managing inventory levels.
• Ensure continuity of supply and escalate constraints when necessary.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with supplier partners.
• Implement cost reduction strategies and manage cost baselines.
• Manage engineering change requests and reverse logistics for failed, suspect, or unneeded materials.
• Track and maintain daily dashboard metrics.
• Develop an understanding of products, the supply base, and associated technologies.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement within the supply chain.
• Industry certifications such as CSCMP, CPIM, CSCP, or CCLP are considered an asset.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is considered an asset.
