About the role#
The Standard Products (Sales) Support Co-op works with the Manager of Production Innovation and Standards to develop standard products, procedures, and efficiency tools. This role involves collaborating with Sales and Applications staff to support the development of modular design concepts and innovative product offerings.
What you'll do#
- Develop modular design concepts applicable across various industries.
- Research industry and competitive trends to inform product development.
- Evaluate technologies and supplier products for integration into standard solutions.
- Create content for customer proposals and the central knowledge base.
- Produce working drawings, detail drawings, and bills of materials using SolidWorks.
- Enhance CAD data in product lifecycle management systems.
- Analyze engineering data to identify opportunities for design reuse.
- Ensure proper documentation of standard designs and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary engineering degree or diploma program, specializing in mechanical and automation design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office.
- Understanding of robotics, control systems, and machine operation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
