About the role#
The Standard Products (Sales) Support Co-op will work with the Manager of Production Innovation and Standards to develop standard products, procedures, and efficiency tools. This role involves collaborating with Sales and Applications teams to support the development of modular design concepts and innovative product offerings.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the development of modular design concepts for various industries.
- Research industry and competitive trends to inform new product offerings.
- Evaluate technologies and supplier products for integration into standard solutions.
- Produce working drawings, detail drawings, and bills of materials using SolidWorks.
- Document standard designs and procedures, and enhance CAD data in PLM systems.
- Analyze engineering data to identify opportunities for design reuse.
- Create technical content for the central knowledge base and customer proposals.
- Assist stakeholders in advancing new technologies and systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent, specializing in mechanical and automation design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office.
- Understanding of robotics, control systems, and machine operation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
