About the role#
The Public Affairs and Communications team seeks two part-time interns for the winter 2027 term. This role provides a structured learning opportunity to gain practical experience in climate and public-interest communications. You will work with attorneys, policy staff, and coalition partners to support litigation and legislative advocacy.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and implementation of communications campaigns.
- Draft materials including press releases, media advisories, reporter pitches, and op-eds.
- Track news stories related to climate and energy issues.
- Produce media reports on narrative trends, emerging risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate across the communications department and with external coalitions and legal experts.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program as a sophomore, junior, or senior during spring 2027.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to commit to 15-18 hours per week.
- Majors in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Political Science, or English are preferred.
