    About the role#

    The Public Affairs and Communications team seeks two part-time interns for the winter 2027 term. This role provides a structured learning opportunity to gain practical experience in climate and public-interest communications. You will work with attorneys, policy staff, and coalition partners to support litigation and legislative advocacy.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the development and implementation of communications campaigns.
    • Draft materials including press releases, media advisories, reporter pitches, and op-eds.
    • Track news stories related to climate and energy issues.
    • Produce media reports on narrative trends, emerging risks, and opportunities.
    • Collaborate across the communications department and with external coalitions and legal experts.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a college or university program as a sophomore, junior, or senior during spring 2027.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Ability to commit to 15-18 hours per week.
    • Majors in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Political Science, or English are preferred.

    • This is a remote, paid position.
    • The internship takes place during the winter 2027 term.
