About the role#
This is a long-term, year-round cooperative education position based in Carrollton, Kentucky. You will provide analytical laboratory support for the Process Research and Development organization. This role involves technical support for growth projects, method development, and manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine laboratory analyses, prepare samples, and manage calibration standards.
- Evaluate data quality using basic statistical techniques and assist with reporting results.
- Monitor analytical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and conduct first-line troubleshooting.
- Support the development and maintenance of laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
- Document and archive experimental data and calibration records.
- Follow Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and site-specific operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university located near the Carrollton site.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Science, or a related science or engineering field.
- Successfully complete at least 6 credit hours per term during the Fall and Winter terms.
- Strong GPAs of 3.000 or higher are preferred.
- Ability to commit to the role for at least one full calendar year.
- Must live within 50 miles of the Carrollton site and have dependable transportation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
