About the role#
This is a long-term, year-round cooperative education position based in Midland, Michigan. You will support the Legal Discovery & Knowledge Management team with operations and knowledge-sharing tasks. This role is designed for students who can balance academic coursework with professional responsibilities in a corporate environment.
What you'll do#
- Monitor centralized mailboxes and work intake systems to route or respond to inquiries.
- Investigate issues to provide initial responses.
- Handle general administrative tasks including document updates, data compilation, meeting management, and office support like copies or deliveries.
- Respond to inquiries via email, chat, or phone.
- Improve web content within SharePoint repositories.
- Build apps, reports, and dashboards on various platforms to support data-driven decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university near the Midland site and pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Completion of at least one semester of college study is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to commit to the role for at least one full calendar year.
- Must live within 50 miles of the Midland site.
- Ability to work at least 16 hours per week during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm).
- Maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours per term during Fall and Winter terms.
- A GPA of 3.000 or higher is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to begin work within three weeks of receiving an offer.
