About the role#
The Wealth Management Summer Internship Program offers students a chance to learn about the financial services industry at an employee-owned firm. You will work directly with experienced Financial Advisors and other professionals. This is a paid, 9-week program requiring a minimum of 25 hours per week. You will observe how a branch office operates and see what it takes to run an ethical practice for individual investors. The program includes an immersive week at our corporate office in Seattle to meet with firm leadership.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on projects that support Financial Advisors and their clients.
- Study for and sit for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, with test preparation and testing sponsored by the firm.
- Participate in team building, community service, and presentations during the Seattle office week.
- Gain insight from industry veterans.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least sophomore year of college by June 2027.
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong academic performance and professional drive.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, teamwork, and service skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to commit to the full 9-week duration.
- Residency in the local area of the branch office or pre-existing arrangements to live there.
- Successful completion of background, reference, and credit checks.

- This is an on-site program for Summer 2027.
- Available locations include Pasadena, CA; Ventura, CA; Colorado Springs, CO; Bozeman, MT; Great Falls, MT; Missoula, MT; Lincoln, NE; Omaha, NE; Salt Lake City, UT; Oklahoma City, OK; Lake Oswego, OR; Bellevue, WA; Seattle, WA; and Spokane, WA.
