About the role#
This paid, nine-week summer internship offers students a look into the financial services industry. You will work within a branch office to observe how Financial Advisors manage their practices and serve individual investors. The program includes a dedicated week at our Seattle corporate office to meet with Executive and Senior Leadership. This is a part-time role requiring at least 25 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside experienced Financial Advisors on projects supporting their clients.
- Participate in team building, community service, and professional presentations.
- Study for and sit for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam.
- Gain insight into the operations of an employee-owned firm.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of college by June 2027.
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong academic performance and professional drive.
- Skills in analysis, communication, teamwork, and service.
- Ability to live in the local area of the branch office for the duration of the program.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Successful completion of background, reference, and credit checks.
