About the role#
The Technology Group at D.A. Davidson is hiring a Summer Analyst for a 10-week program. This role introduces you to our investment banking business through hands-on work with mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and other advisory services. We often fill permanent Analyst positions from our internship program.
What you'll do#
- Research and prepare materials for pitch books, memorandums, and presentations.
- Build financial models to analyze client projects.
- Partner with team members ranging from peer analysts to managing directors.
- Support client relations and business development activities for senior bankers.
- Maintain contact and deal databases for specific teams.
- Help deal teams with daily operational tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a junior in college pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- A minimum 3.5 GPA is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A general understanding of financial modeling, macroeconomics, and current events.
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and good judgment.
- A strong work ethic and the flexibility to work long hours, nights, and weekends based on deal flow.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Portland, Oregon.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
