About the role#
This is a 12-week summer internship program based in Omaha. You will gain hands-on experience in Commercial Banking and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending. The role is full-time and on-site. You will work alongside banking professionals to support the Omaha Commercial Banking team through financial analysis, portfolio reviews, and deal-related activities.
What you'll do#
- Participate in structured internship programming including workshops, networking events, and professional development activities.
- Assist with evaluating financial information, analyzing business performance, and supporting credit-related underwriting activities.
- Observe and participate in client calls, meetings, and discussions to learn about relationship management.
- Gain exposure to active lending transactions, such as acquisitions and financing opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams across Commercial Banking, Credit, Portfolio Management, and Relationship Management.
- Research industry, market, and company information to support transaction activities.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in a Bachelor's degree program. You must not have graduated before the internship start date.
- Pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commercial Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant coursework in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis, Corporate Finance, or Business Analytics.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and clear verbal and written communication.
- Comfort working with financial information and Microsoft Excel.
- Initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn within a collaborative environment.
