About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy education to real-world practice while preparing for a Pharmacist role. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation to deepen your knowledge of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and quality assurance. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams to ensure operations run smoothly and patients receive accurate, prompt service.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations and ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Provide caring service to patients by showing empathy and addressing their needs over the phone or in person.
- Support immunizations by preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Follow company procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Manage basic inventory tasks such as processing medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, professional standards, and ethical principles.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program before starting the training program.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within state-mandated timeframes.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
