About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will assist in delivering patient care, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring our pharmacy environment remains effective and organized. This is a part-time role that involves regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Assist with inventory and workflow management.
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to remain upright, reach, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Majors in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration are relevant to this role.
