About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Summer 2027 internship based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will join our Early Talent Program to gain hands-on experience across various HR functions, including recruiting, training, development, operations, and payroll. You will work directly with HR team members and senior leadership to support business objectives and contribute to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily HR tasks, documentation, reporting, and administrative duties.
- Support employee engagement programs, events, and communication efforts.
- Help with recruiting, onboarding, and internship program initiatives.
- Participate in projects focused on HR operations, compliance, compensation, and organizational development.
- Collect, organize, and maintain HR records while ensuring data accuracy.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for team use.
- Identify ways to improve HR processes and the employee experience.
- Collaborate with business partners to meet organizational goals.
- Participate in mentorship activities and business meetings to build your professional knowledge.
- Learn from senior leaders and present your project work at the end of the summer.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in human resources, business, psychology, communications, organizational leadership, or a related field.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail.
- Aptitude for learning new systems and business concepts quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with projects or team initiatives gained through academics, volunteering, or student organizations.
- Experience working in service, support, or collaborative environments.
