About the role#
As a Recruiting Intern, you will join our Corporate Recruiting team for the Summer 2027 term. This role supports both driver and corporate recruiting efforts across all business units. You will gain hands-on experience in recruiting processes, candidate attraction, analytics, and employment branding while preparing for future career opportunities. You will also participate in mentorship activities and present a final project to our senior leaders.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily recruiting tasks, including candidate tracking, scheduling, and operations.
- Support candidate communication, interview coordination, and hiring events.
- Help identify potential candidates through databases, networking, and lead-generation tools.
- Support recruiting data analysis, hiring metrics, and dashboard reporting.
- Assist with job postings, marketing efforts, and employment brand initiatives.
- Support the full candidate workflow, including application reviews and background screening.
- Partner with HR, operational leaders, and business stakeholders to support hiring goals.
- Learn recruiting systems, sourcing strategies, and business operations.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage professionally with candidates and stakeholders.
- Capacity to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new systems and business concepts quickly.
- Interest in recruiting, sourcing, HR, or customer acquisition.
- Experience working with customers, students, or other stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems, or social media tools.
- Participation in student organizations, athletics, or leadership activities.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- Applicants must be enrolled in undergraduate courses for the fall semester following the internship.
- This position is paid.
- Successful completion of the program may lead to consideration for full-time positions upon graduation.
