About the role#
CRST offers a summer internship program for students interested in the transportation industry. As an Operations Intern in the Flatbed Solutions division, you will gain hands-on experience with company processes and transportation management. You will work alongside different departments to support business goals and improve the use of company assets. This role includes exposure to senior leadership, with an opportunity to present your project and experience at the end of the summer.

- Assist in improving the efficiency of company equipment and assets.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop communication and relationship-building skills.
- Handle multiple tasks and solve problems in your daily work.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Present your project and internship experience to senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or junior in a 4-year bachelor degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Finance, or a similar field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong work ethic, motivation, and a desire to take initiative.
- Ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and communicate effectively.
- Prior coursework, internship, or work experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Birmingham, Alabama.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
- Onboarding and orientation will take place at the company headquarters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, during the first few weeks of the program.
- Applicants must be enrolled in undergraduate courses for the fall semester following the summer internship.
