About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in transportation and logistics operations. You will work under supervision to support customers and learn the core principles of the industry. This is a part-time role based in Sacramento.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily freight planning and asset utilization.
- Support safety management and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
- Handle driver payroll and maintenance coordination tasks.
- Participate in logistics analysis and driver supervision.
- Gain insight into profit-and-loss management and customer value delivery.
- Learn about industry trends and company initiatives focused on driver retention.
- Complete account-specific tasks and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, specifically in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and work varied hours.
- Junior or Senior status is preferred.

- Compensation: $16.90-$24.50 per hour.
