About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in transportation brokerage operations. You will learn how to manage carrier relationships, analyze market trends, and use industry tools to deliver efficient logistics solutions. The role focuses on building a carrier base and achieving service goals while working under close supervision.
What you'll do#
- Verify carrier authenticity and maintain accurate shipment records.
- Monitor freight movement to ensure service expectations are met.
- Build an understanding of market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers.
- Communicate service failures to reduce costs and operational issues.
- Use technology and tools to streamline workflows and manage loads.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a changing work environment.
- Junior or Senior academic standing is preferred.
