About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in transportation and logistics. You will work under supervision to support customers and learn the fundamentals of managing transportation operations. This is a part time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with customer transportation and logistics services.
- Learn basic transportation management principles.
- Participate in daily tasks such as freight planning, asset utilization, and safety management.
- Handle Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance and driver payroll.
- Support logistics analysis, driver supervision, and maintenance coordination.
- Manage profit and loss responsibilities.
- Explore industry trends and company initiatives regarding driver retention.
- Complete account-specific duties and other assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited institution.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and work hours.
- Junior or Senior academic standing is preferred.
