    About the role#

    This Mechanical Engineering Co-op position is based in Elyria, Ohio. You will perform routine engineering tasks that apply your current studies to the manufacturing of Lear Romec products. You will work under the guidance of a Mechanical Engineer on projects with clear objectives. This is a full-time, paid position.

    What you'll do#

    • Support process development, tooling, and system improvements.
    • Assist with cell design and layout.
    • Coordinate with Design Engineering, Supervisors, Quality, and Purchasing to complete projects.
    • Prepare, review, and approve process routings, sketches, tool sheets, NC programs, and general process revisions.
    • Assess, troubleshoot, and support the resolution of technical problems.
    • Maintain and communicate accurate project status updates.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Self-motivated team player mindset.
    • US Person status is required due to ITAR regulations.
    • Experience in CAD Drafting or 3-D Solid Modeling is a plus, with preference given to those familiar with Pro-E or AutoCAD.
    • Familiarity with NC Programming and Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.
