About the role#
Schaeffler is hiring a Co-Op for the Humanoid Robotics team. You will work on humanoid joint actuators and support the development of mechanical and electrical systems. This role provides an opportunity to apply engineering principles to robotics projects within a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Work with engineers to learn the specifications and design requirements for humanoid joint actuators.
- Create design solutions using 2D surface modeling or 3D solid modeling software.
- Develop working designs for mechanical mechanisms, structures, and electrical systems based on engineering specs.
- Calculate key features to ensure designs meet functional requirements.
- Manage parts lists and maintain project documentation.
- Take on additional tasks as needed by the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree program relevant to robotics, such as Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Ability to work as a self-starter.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
