About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work within the Innovation Management team at our Baytown site. You will contribute to projects that support our circular economy targets and assist with the development of new products. This role involves hands-on work in a research environment alongside senior chemists and engineers.
What you'll do#
- Support the business unit by working toward circular economy goals.
- Assist product development teams with the formulation, processing, design, and testing of materials.
- Participate in the day-to-day operations of the site.
- Contribute to the development of new technologies.
- Apply academic knowledge to real-world research and development projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship based on-site in Baytown, Texas.
- The program takes place during the summer of 2027 and lasts approximately 12 weeks.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
